What does floor sanding cost?
Flip’s price guide uses NOK 300–430/m² including VAT as an illustrative labour allowance for sanding and applying a finish. Materials, minimum charges, setup and repairs must be clarified in the quote. For 25 m² the illustrative labour calculation is NOK 7,500–10,750; this is not an all-inclusive fixed price.

Solid wood and some parquet floors can be sanded, depending on wear-layer thickness, previous sanding, damage and construction. Laminate must not be treated as parquet. Share photos and floor specifications so the contractor can assess suitability before you agree the work.
Lacquer, oil or a different look?
Choose the finish for its colour, sheen, use and maintenance. Ask for the product, number of coats, any pigmentation and material costs in the quote. Drying and curing times depend on the products and conditions in your home.
What to prepare
Provide the area of each room, floor type, visible damage and preferred finish. Mention furniture, access, storey and timing. Agree who empties the rooms, handles skirting and thresholds, and cleans up. Dust-reducing equipment does not make the job completely dust-free.
From description to agreement
Describe the job and add photos. Compare quotes covering the same work, materials and extras. Your agreement is with the contractor; Flip keeps the conversation and agreement together digitally. Agree the start, duration and when you can use the floor with the contractor.
Do I need to leave while the floor is sanded?
Rooms normally need to be emptied, and access may be restricted during finishing and curing. Clarify use of the home, ventilation, furniture and rugs with your contractor before work starts.
